The spacious two bay Simple Garage has dual overhead doors that can accommodate everything from ATVs and snowmobiles to large trucks. This garage is made with solid 6″×6″ Hemlock post and beam framing. Hemlock is durable, local, sustainable, and strong. Relatively easy to work with when it’s green, the wood hardens as it dries giving these structures a beefy frame.
Additional windows available for purchase can be placed anywhere in this design allowing extra light and enhancing the spaciousness of this garage. The roofing material is corrugated evergreen metal. There is no floor to worry about rotting away, as this kit comes with a pressure treated sill plate. JCS recommends a concrete slab to fully enjoy your new garage. This garage is the ideal fit for a fleet of snowmobiles, large farm equipment, or heavy-duty storage. You could even add a loft to allow for bonus storage!
Choose Your Size & Wall Height
The first step in ordering your garage, is deciding what dimensions you would like to order. This two-car garage may be purchased as a 24’x24′, 24’x30′ or 24’x36′ Pre-Cut Kit. You also have the option to pick between an 8-foot or 10-foot wall height. If you plan on adding a storage loft later on we recommend upgrading to the 10-foot wall option.
• Complete Shell – With this package you get everything needed to set up an two car garage shed. A treated sill plate, hemlock wall and roof framing, siding, a metal roof, a single side entrance, and two overhead garage doors come with this package. The complete garage kit may be ordered as a pre-cut kit delivered anywhere in the Continental United States and parts of Canada.
Customize
Each type of building comes with default options that match our specifications. However, if you want to personalize your workshop or garage, we have made that process a breeze. As you go through each step, you’ll be able to pick and choose which options you want.
• Strengthen – Our post and beam Simple Garage was designed with New England weather conditions in mind. But that doesn’t mean you can’t strengthen it even more. Roof rafters can be upgraded to 16” on center for an increased snow load rating.
• Personalize – Enhance the look of your barn by choosing a different siding, or roofing. We offer a variety of pine and cedar siding choices. Roofing material comes in a variety of corrugated metal colors, cedar shingles, or clear poly roof panels. Want to change up the look of your Simple Garage? The Novelty Pine siding is a unique offering that has some texture. The boards overlap each other, eliminating gaps, and the need for battens. A lighter color metal roof, like Ivory, or Ash Gray, will reflect sun keeping your building cooler in the summer.
• Add-Ons – Need a simple way to gain more exterior work and storage space? Add an Overhang Kit. These easy-to-build lean-to’s attach to the bearing wall of your garage. The space can be used to store items you need quick access too, or as a fresh air workspace. A premium trim package creates a polished look to the roof while using enclosure strips to close up the gaps in the metal roofing rib pattern. If you need some storage for your larger handled tools add some peg racks to the wall framing.
